Challenge:

Finding a location and creating a programme that has a connex to the city and can be understood by all participants coming from all over the world.

Realization:

• The biggest concert house in Vienna – “The Konzerthaus“ – was rented for an evening exclusively.
• Participants had a scientific meeting in the afternoon and were brought to the Konzerthaus in the evening, where a welcome reception took place.
• After the reception guests were invited to the big concert hall with a maximum capacity of 2.000 people – a logisitc challenge to get all the guests seated within 15 minutes. Due to a high amount of manpower and a “section reservation system“ it was possible to make this happen in time.
• A concert of 1,5h with an orchestra of 55 people, which was playing all worldfamous melodies from operas, operettes and walzes. The programme was moderated by people, who were living next to the genius composors (like the sister of Mozart, the wife of Johann Strauss, the best friend of Haydn, etc....) and were giving “background information“ to the audience about the composition of the opera, etc ...
• Due to the fact that music is an “international instrument of understanding“ and the glamoruous ambience of the concert hall, the evening was a great success.
