TEAM BUILDING
Client: Marketing Company
Origin: Israel
Participants: employees
Number: 60 persons

Location:
Copacabana beach
Challenge:
On the arrival day, client would like to have guests interact with locals on a team competition. A simple and fun competition that would allow guests their first contact with locals. The group came to Brazil during January, just after Carnival, one of the busiest seasons in Rio de Janeiro.
Realization:
-
We created small groups of 6 persons (raffled during private welcome check-in).
-
After checked-in and changing clothes, each group was give a tray (kind of cigar tray) with “unusual items” to be sold on the beach – winter gloves, snow scrapers for the car, winter hat, pencils and other unlike items.
-
Without the assistance of a translator, they would have to go to the beach and try to sell the items. The group which made more money was the winning group. All the money raised with the sales was donated to a local institution.
-
It was very funny to see guests trying to convince locals to buy products which were not useful (especially during the hot summer). They had do use mimics and their hands to explain some items unknowns to Brazilians. They had a great time interacting with locals, which were very friendly and welcoming. Funny to mention that they managed to sell almost all the items and raised quite a good amount (the items were not priced, each group could decide how much to charge).
-
All the money was accounted during lunch at the hotel and the winning group was awarded. This activity besides funny, allow them to interact with locals and show their quality to sell unusual products to an improbable clientele.
