Locations:

Slopes of Mount Kenya

Challenge:

To take the participants out of the usual event locations.

Realization:

Day 1: Clients are picked from the airport and transferred to Mount Kenya Safari Club. En route, they undergo an Equator crossing ceremony/demonstration. From the Equator you go ten paces into the Northern Hemisphere and the water in a bowl will drain clockwise. The same thing ten paces South and the water will drain anti-clockwise. Each client is issued a Certificate to confirm the crossing of the Equator. Clients find this both interesting and fun.

In the area of Mt. Kenya is the Chukka tribe known for it’s amazing drumming. The drummers come out of the trees in their full warrior dress and surprise the clients on arrival. Lunch is served and the afternoon spent at leisure and clients have an opportunity to network with one another. The day is crowned with a lovely sundowner.

Day 2: The better part of the day is spent on the scientific programme. In the evening, the product is launched at a sundowner cocktail. Thereafter clients are treated to a private dinner in a fairy tale setting where a wide cedar wood platform straddles River Likii. The surrounding trees and bushes are lit with hurricane lamps. Clusters of crystal glasses, gleaming candelabra and silverware and dainty wild flower arrangements grace the starched white table linen. The throbbing of drums and unforgettable voices of African Tribesman fill the air and silence the crickets and the owls. A six-course dinner is served on this platform, whilst the river, reflecting the lanterns, continues its ceaseless journey.

Day 3: Clients depart for home.
