TEAMBUILDING

          Client: Insurance company
          Origin: The Netherlands
          Participants: Company employees
          Number: 35 people

Locations:

Outdoor, all over Budapest and outside

Challenge:

To prepare a complex program with many different team-building activities over four days.

Realization:

During the four-day stay in Budapest the group had an entire view of Budapest and Hungary, the culture and the gastronomy, through different team-building activities.

1st day, arrival in Budapest:

  • Upon arrival, the bus took the group to the Citadel, where they had a welcome cocktail accompanied by the panoramic view to the city
  • After lunch the guests were invited to participate in a so-called treasure hunt. The „Budapest in motion“ program is about discovering the city on their own, with the help of a map and itinerary, using the particular vehicles of the city, such as the funicular, the panoramic tram, the bringo hintos and the millenary underground railway. On the way they had to fill questionnaires and different surprises and challenges (falcon challenge, bonbon tasting) waited for them.

2nd day, charity program:

  • In the morning the participants had a short meeting with the Hungarian colleagues, in the company’s office in Budapest.
  • Following the meeting they were transferred to the countryside, Fót, one of the largest children home of Hungary. In cooperation with a non-profit organization they spent the whole afternoon in the children home. After a short speech they were showed around the institution and explained the life and the regulation of the same. The guests, being in majority male, helped the rennovation works of the buildings digging dike for the elecric cabels. As a closing ceremony the participants invited the chlidren for a football match.

3rd day, trabant rally:

  • In the morning the group was taken to a parking lot in the border of the city, where they found strange, neverseen cars. This unique vehicle, a four-wheel "plastic box" automobile from Communism era is called Trabant.
  • The owners of the cars gave them a detailed explanation about the car together with the key.
  • The itinerary led through small villages until arriving to Szentendre. On the way the participants had the opportunity to know about Hungarian gastronomy and culture: salami tasting and folklore dance lesson were organised for them.
  • After having visited Szentendre they had a transfer back to Budapest in an exclusively rented boat, with lunch on the board.

4th day, nostalgic and modern way of journey:

  • This day was full of movement: transfer to the Balaton lake by privatised nostalgy trains (with accordeon player, magician and other activities on board), sailing over the lake and Hungarian lunch in a typical restaurant.
  • In the afternoon the participants were taken to the Hungarian Formula 1 Race Court (Hungaroring) and had the possibility to feel the real speed.
