INCENTIVES

Client: European leading yogurt Producer Company
         Origin: Netherland
         Participants: Best staff
         Number: 30 persons

Location:

Rome / Grottaferrata

Challange:

The client requested an informal but involving day with activities that would enhance the group spirit and to include a WOW surprise effect.

Realization:

  1. Clients were brought to the location (a countryside farm at 20 minutes from Rome) with a coach.
  2. Upon arrival there was a nice welcome cocktail waiting for them to start the day well. After the drink, the group was split in 4 smaller groups and each one was assigned to a different kitchen area to prepare, with the aid of professional cook, one dish for the lunch. The dishes prepared were: home made “tagliatelle” (long flat pasta), home made “gnocchi” (a traditional dumpling make out of potatoes), Pizza cooked in a traditional wooden oven and Pesto (a sauce made principally of basil, olive oil and grounded pine-nuts).
  3. At lunch all participants were reunited under a big gazebo for an outdoor meal (indoor back up was also arranged in case of bad weather). Participants were required to give a judgement and comments on the dishes prepared by their colleagues in a funny way. As a “reward” for their hard work in the kitchens during the morning, the participants were presented with a surprise: 3 shiny Ferrari sports cars arrived and by taking turns, all the group were given the chance to drive the Ferrari for approx 20 minutes / half-hour.
  4. As a reminder of the nice day and for future visit to Italy clients were asked to plant an olive tree in the farm’s field.
  5. In the late afternoon clients were driven by private coach to a prestigious wine producer of the area. Here we had arranged another fun & challenging team building activity where the participants were asked to squash the grapes with their bare feet (as farmers used to do in the ancient times),it was a very involving and entertaining activity.
  6. Before sitting at the dinner tables, the clients did a brief guided tour of the cellar that some expert says it to be dated some 2000 years old and where a pagan temple from the Roman time was discovered some years ago.
  7. The day was a great success & even though the clients were exhausted from the intense day and strong emotions, all of them left with a big and dreamy smile on their faces.
