Challenge:

To build and use a raft on Bled lake. The raft was to be made out of the parts won in teambuilding challenges on 4x4 jeep safari across the Alpine region.

Realization:

We created the following tailor-made programme:

The challenge started in Ljubljana. The participants were previously divided into 3 smaller teams. On a challenge day Toyota & Mitsubishi jeeps with professional drivers were waiting in front of the hotel. The participants got their envelopes with instructions and after a briefing they drove towards the Alps.

The final goal was to build a raft in Bled but they had yet to collect its parts during the challenging tasks on the off-road jeep safari. Each successfully arranged task won one part of a raft. According to instructions they had to navigate the driver from one task to another. Finding the task spots was already a challenge itself.

The tasks on the way were:

• Finding an instructor on a certain spot, take a photo with him and send it as an MMS on a judge’s cell phone number.
•  Archery competition
• Throwing of horseshoes competition
• Abseiling challenge
• Quiz on the greatest Slovenian Poet France Preseren, held in his Birth house Museum

Final task was by the lake of Bled. The participants had to collect the raft pieces they got on the way and build their rafts. They had to test them by rafting from one side of popular regatta bay to another. This was also a symbolic act since Bled is a popular rowing spot and a cradle of rowing world champions.

On the other side awards and picnic baskets were waiting. We had a rewarding picnic by the lake and everybody was happy!
